John was on Steelco with me and he was not only a good athlete he was also a friendly  and quietly intelligent guy [with rolled up sleeves]. There is a picture of John in the team picture that is at my profile gallery. He went to Hatch and I went to Whittier so we really did not see much of each other outside of baseball. But in season, we played or practiced  together 5 or 6 days a week during the summer. .Johnny is one of the good memories I have of some of the best years of my youth.

We were in class together at Hatch...remember him as a nice person, having our Italian roots in common. Always sad to see a fellow classmate pass on...condolences to his family...

I remember John from high school. Nice guy. I'm sorry to learn about his passing. I did not realize he lived in San Diego. R.I.P, John.

I spent most of my "free time"  at Oak Park H.S. with John. He was personable and a true friend. I lost contact with him after High School when I went off to college and then three years as a Peace Corps.Volunteer in Bolivia. I knew he was in California. I want to give my sincere condonlences to his family. He will be missed.

May God watch over him now.

One of the people I most hoped to see at the 50th reunion.  Funny, smart, handsome and kind, that was John in high school.  See you somewhere my friend.
