With deep sadness I learned by old friend Ken Belling died. Ken and I were very close friends at Emerson grade school in the 1950s. Times were different then; schools did not have lunchrooms and students would go home at noon for lunch. At times, ratner than going home, Ken and I would ride our bikes to Circle Lanes bowling alley in Forest Park to grab a pizza and green river. What an adventure. Of course, we never told our parents what we were up to, I told my mom I was having lunch at Ken’s, and he told his mom he was eating at my house. Not sure they believed us, but we appeared to get away with our little stunt. Rest in Pease Ken, and may your memory be a blessing. David B.Yavitz

I am saddened to read about Ken's passing.  But with a smile I remember how he, Monte Ablin, Kaye Berkland and I palled around.  We had lots of laughs and shared lots of fun timess.  He was bright, kind and a little mischievious.  He was a big part of my high school experience.  I am smiling with sadness and wish his family has many wonderful memories with their life with Ken.

I've known Ken since my Lowell School days when his mom was a teacher there, I think. All the girls thought he was SO handsome. I last saw Ken a couple of years ago at an Emerson School dinner at the Greek Isles. A little more quirky but still the same old Ken. Sorry to hear of his passing.

I got to know Ken well in homeroom.  We were seated alphabetically all four years, so  he always sat behind me.  He was always so kind and helpful and sad to hear of his passing...

Ken was a soft spoken guy who was admired by many. May he be at peace now.
