Carol died on May 30, 2014. Carol was always a great help with planning our reunions, until her health would not allow it. Rest in peace Carol.
WEST FRANKFORT -- Carol V. Stanger, 69, went to be with the Lord at 6:35 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2014, in Parkway Manor in Marion.
She was born Dec. 30, 1944, in Oak Park, to Ralph E. and Julia V. (Jefferies) Escott.
Carol was a loving mother, grandmother and friend.
Survivors include daughter, Loretta and husband, Rick Arrington, of West Frankfort; and grandson, Jonathan Gasper of West Frankfort.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, husband and brother

Carol was in my homeroom and a very lovely person who was gracious to everyone. I will
miss seeing her smiling face at our reunions.

I am sorry to hear about Carol. The announcement says she died May 2014. She died three years ago, and yet we were leaving birthday wishes on her profile page through December 2016. Some slip by with no notice. We should toast her at the reunion. Rest In Peace, Carol.

Carol was a friend from our days at Lincoln all the way through OPRFHS. I remember her playing the flute in school and know she was in a recorder group. RIP, dear Carol.
