
Nadine Meltz Obituary
On Monday, January 29, 2024, Nadine Harriet Meltz (nee Greenberg), a beloved wife, mother and teacher, passed away. Born to Samuel and Molly Greenberg in Chicago, in February of 1945, she was raised in River Forest, attended college at Washington University in Saint Louis, and spent most of her adult life in Lincolnwood, Illinois. In February, 1966, she married the love of her life Stephen M. Meltz, raising her sons David and Gary in Lincolnwood. Professionally, she worked many years teaching English to Spanish-speaking children in the Chicago Public Schools. Nadine enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling and entertaining. She made a great impact on all those she cared about, and will be remembered as smart, joyful, compassionate and full of life. In her final years, she was struck with Alzheimer's disease. She is survived by her husband Stephen, her son David and his wife Paula (nee Tassell) and her son Gary. Services Thursday, February 1, at 12:00 noon at Chicago Jewish Funeral, 8851 Skokie Blvd (at Niles Center Road), Skokie. Interment Westlawn.
