In elementary school Fran and I played together with our plastic horses. Her family was always very welcoming. She was totally into horses since that time. Everyone was happy to see her again at our Whittier luncheon in 2014 and we were all so happy to see her again. She was a good soul.
Such sad news. Fran was a great friend. We reconnected a few years ago and it was interesting to see how her love of horses became a successful career for Fran and her husband. It sounded like they were headed for an easier time when they sold the stable. So sorry there wasn't more time to enjoy to enjoy it. I'm sure there were many animals waiting for her at the Rainbow Bridge.
Frances was a very special person to everyone and to me---she live across the street from me on Elmwood Ave--went to Whittier grade school and of course when we got to high school kind of lost trace of each other--I think Framces was my first date---we were in grade school and there was a hay ride---I think put on by Fair Oaks Church and she asked me to go---because of her love for horses---yes she drove the wagon---France will be missed---G
I was so sorry to hear about Fran. We lived about 6 houses apart: I on Fair Oaks and Fran on Elmwood. The alley was our playground, and our Schwinn bikes were our horses.
Although I owned a horse for awhile as an adult, horses were Fran's life-long passion. We didn't see as much of each other in high school, but there are a lot of good childhood memories. Rest in peace, Fran, and enjoy the ride.
