Rosemary Morgan Uman

A very nice thing happened this year when Carol Lawrence got in touch - she sounds just as nice now as she was way back then! My life since Oak Park took me to travels around the world with the more lengthy sojourns in England, France, Belgium, and South India. In addition to Chicago, I've lived in Hawaii, San Fran, Palm Springs and San Diego, CA, Northampton, MA, Orlando and Fort Myers, FL, Philly and now Asheville, NC - where it seems all the old hippies have decided to come. My career was in higher ed admin at UCSD, and Hampshire and Rollins Colleges, until I transitioned to corporate campus mgt for Chico's and Urban Outfitters until relocating to retirement home in NC in 09. Met my husband Sandy in -70 in San Fran and remet after divorce in 80 and been together since - about to celebrate our 44th on June 28th!

I came to OPRFHS in the spring of sophomore year from a small town, Libertyville, and never felt welcome or that I fit in anywhere except with a few in the drama crowd - most of them in the class f '61. So frankly my only happy memories of high school are of those on stage - and of being able to avoid the graduation ceremony by leaving early to work in summer stock.
