I worked as a classroom teacher after graduating from North Central College and retired in June of 2000. Being a complete failure at retirement, I've been working at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy since September of 2000 as a curriculum developer and professional development provider for a middle school integrated math and science outreach program.

I retired from IMSA in 2013, but continue to be involved in science ed as the state coordinator of Science Matters and on the board of directors of National Middle Level Science Teachers Association.

In my spare time I like to travel or spend time just relaxing at my lake house in the North Woods of Wisconsin.
