The link below is to Jim's Obit. Jim and I played Soph. Basketball. He was a good sport that played fair. There are numerous pictures of him in the Tabula wearigf a white dress shirt with rolled up sleeves, wheat jeans, and penny loafers. That's how I remember him.
I am so sorry to hear of his passing. What a character! He used to be next to me in Chem. Lab. I remember one day the ice cream truck came by and he got up and walked out the window to buy an ice cream bar, then came back inside and began eating it. The teacher (can't recall his name) said that if Jim could have ice cream so could everybody else, so he bought us all an ice cream. I became a nurse and ended up working for his Dad for a few years.
Jim and I were big brother and sister for a freshman homeroom. You never knew what Jim was going to say to get those freshmen laughing! What a great guy! I too remember his white shirt and penny loafers.
I'm so sorry to hear of Jim's passsing. I remember Jim from grade school - as a guy who was good at everything . . . smart, a good athlete, and a terrific guy. Of course, like so many classmates, I lost track of Jim until our 50th, when I had a chance to share some memories, and also to appreciate how accomplished his life had been.
OMG, so very very sad to hear of his passing . I went to Horace Mann with Jim, what a great guy and wonderful sense of humor, We are losing so many classmates and it just doesn’t seem like it was that long ago we were in HS . My sincere condolences to his family.
I knew Jim since I came to Horace Mann in the 7th grade. He was always a good guy and a gentleman. I was surprised to hear of his passing. I sat at the same table with him and his wife at our 50th reunion and he appeared to be in great shape. We all just never know when our final days will be upon us, so make the most of it. Rest in peace Jim.
Whenever Jim showed up at the lunch table we knew it was going to be fun and there would be laughs. I hope his life was filled with fun and happiness. I thought he was a great guy.
Jim and I were friends in grade school at Mann until my family moved to RF when we were in 7th grade. We lost touch for that year and a half until high school and then reconnected. What a great guy. My condolences to his family.
